Infrastructure

SVJCT school is located in peaceful and beautiful village Dervan, blessed with abundant natural beauty of Western Ghats – The World Heritage. The school is spread over 10 acres surrounded by hills and forests. SVJCT School offers a campus that is safe, spacious and highly conducive for learning and growing.

Classrooms

The classrooms are spacious, airy and well-lit; designed for not more than 30 students and linked with Public Address System. Classroom furniture is carefully planned considering the needs of the students. Colourful and cheerful wall paintings in Pre-primary classes exert a pull on the students.

Laboratories

Well equipped & separate Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Labs linked with CCTV to a central monitor.

English Language Lab

To improve the quality of English language proficiency, we have established multimedia, digital and computerized English Language Lab where each student has his/her own console with a headset and can practice on their own. So they can do their pronunciation, listening, reading, writing & speaking comfortably on their own. The sound recording feature helps them to listen, repeat, record and compare their own voice which is one of the most important aspects in developing the language.

We have two computer labs – one for Primary section and another for Secondary and Higher Secondary section. Children are taught and encouraged to handle computers from an early age. Round the clock availability of free Internet facility for the students coupled with guidance from the teachers helps them in acquiring a wide range of knowledge.

Library

Well stocked library with a wide variety of Indian as well as foreign books, Encyclopedia, World Books, reference books, periodicals, children’s magazines, business magazines and newspapers. Books are the continuous source of knowledge which inculcates the habit of contemplation amongst the readers.

Audio Visual Room

Teachers impart supplementary knowledge to the students using website links of the particular topic for which they use audio-visual room. Teachers as well as students make PowerPoint presentations and project them.

Recreation Hall

This is a multipurpose hall used for inter-class competitions, seminars, Annual day, Art & Craft workshops, etc. Exhibitions, celebrations are held in this hall.

e-Learning Room

Once in a week, E-learning facility is made available to the students where they revise what they have learnt, answer the quizzes, get audio-visual explanations and enjoy learning through the play-way method.

Nursery Garden School

Students enjoy playing in Garden School with colourful and attractive rubber flooring. It consists of many indoor games such as swings, slides, sea-saw and climbing ropes. Regular practice of Mallakhamb and Yogasana is also conducted here.
